Red vs Green WRT BF3

The biggest problem with non reference coolers is the heat from the bottom card is being sucked into the top card. With reference coolers, the heat is chucked out the back of the case.
 
It's down to the PCIe slot layout on the motherboards, the two primary x16 slots on the deluxe v2 are spaced further apart than on the p6 x58 DE board. Ill run into the same problem again if/when i decide to sli my current wf 670.
 
So which mobo/7950 in cf combination would be ideal?

I have bought an i53750K already so will be going Z77.

I may pop this into the mobo area too.

Pity, my MSI 7950 TF3 is fantastic but it is revision 1.
 
I disagree.

When you can have a lot of spacing between cards, then no ref is better if you can then extract the heat dumped into the case by the cards. I have 2 TF cards in my case with a slot spacing between them and the top card is s10 degrees hotter, but they are both barely auduble, even at full load after an hour because I have great airflow

Better to be safe and buy 2*MSI 680 Lightnings :p

Only kidding (sort of) but if you have any problems, you can return them :)
