Not feeling the room decor though I am afraid. But its horses for courses as sure some will like ;)
 
Guys, guys, guys. It is obvious he has used paint remover to get rid of the green paint & unearthed an older colour which was red.

When he says there is still a bit to do, he is obviously going to be painting the walls, fixing up the MDF box to make it less of an eye sore & possibly fit new flooring.

Give the guy chance, he is only in the preperation stages...
 
The MDF box looks like it was put together by a 3 year old. The edges don't line up, the surfaces are not flush, the blue carpet top looks frayed and ill fitting!

Sorry, but it looks terrible! The original pics looked better in my opinion!
 
What the heck is going in here?

The boxed in section you can see is the gap where the stairs in my house are - there's not much else I can do to hide this other than box it in and use the section above as shelves.

No, the picture is of Master Distiller Jeff Arnett, it's on my Jack Daniels 2009 calender. I'm sure there's plenty of others on here that have the same calendar :p

You're quite right there - the MDF was quickly thrown together by myself in an attempt to prevent my cat from getting in there while I am decorating. It's not intended as a permanent fixture and will be replaced and tidied up in due course. Perhaps I was hasty in posting pics before the room is finished, probably just looking for any excuse to post pics of new desk and comfy chair :D

I CBA reading through all the posts to see if anyone has posted similar thoughts, but salmon pink is not in vogue. Neither is dark blue carpet.

What was wrong with a real wood floor and natural hessian walls?

I'd start again personally.

Sorry, don't like it. Would have been better with white walls and a good wood floor.
