Redex revisited.....

After the Terraclean treatment a few weeks ago, I got the dealer to throw in some Forte fuel treatment and a Forte oil treatment in with oil change. No harm in a cleaner internal engine than a dirtier one... :D

Been getting some interesting motorway mpg results (measured from fixed junction to fixed junction with cruise set for whole journey):

London<M1>Leicester - 50mpg (60mph)
London<M4>Bristol - 50mpg (60mph)
London<M4>Bristol - 42mpg (70mph)
London<M40>Oxford - 42mpg (70mph)

All an improvement on the pre-treatment mpg.

Here we go again!

Since you have so much money to burn, would you mind sending some my way? In return I shall send you some snake oil, it'll give you so much fuel efficiency you'll never need to fill your tank again. I reckon £1,000 will do the trick, I'll PM you my bank details. Failure to comply will result in your removal of the forum ;)

Bank details, i want 2 loads of this snake oil stuff, I hear if they use Cobra it's got a better bite ?

FF you need someone to uphold the end of the bargain (removal from the forums), so I'll take a cut of that thanks.

Terraclean uses a different process according to the manufacturers. Can't say that I've heard of anything known as 'columbic fractionation' though (and neither has Google) and I can't see how it cleans the catalytic convertor....

Presumably this should by "coulumbic", referring to the use of electrical charge to proceed with the chemical process. Although if pseudo-science terms are needed to promote a product and explain its function, then . . .

What's in this smoke that comes out the exhaust after the treatment? and now why are you using oil additives? What's wrong with the oil you are using?

Edd China did a terraclean jobbie on a episode of wheeler dealers the other day and explained how it all worked.

He seemed to think it did a great job on the car. Pretty sure it was a Jaguar XK he did it on.

No doubt they shoved some dollar in his pocket for it.
