Reduce Colours in BMP

I need to get my output as a 16 colour BMP, 424*320. I can do this but every time I do it changes the mauve/blue to grey.

Can someone tell me how or put this to what I want PLEASE? Its driving me mad...

In case anyone is wondering, I fancy my HP SFF PC booting up with the Kickstart logo instead of HP logo...

A 16 colour palette is probably something like this:
mTwX5aM.png
The grey is probably the closest colour to the original (which is why it turns grey when you compress to 16 colour).
Choose one of the other colours from the palette and fill with that before compressing and then it wont change.

Irfanview does this nicely with the reduce color depth option.

THANK YOU... Now I also notice the web page says the file has to be less than 64KB.... Any ideas on that since you did so well with the first task!? ;)

I really must make more use of the wider forum.. I've tended to live in Members Market for most of my time here!
