Reduced shipping for those who use the 2-Day shipping option!

Great news :) I hope the trial is a success. Many sites don't always ship to the channel islands and fail to recognise that we are VAT exempt never had this problem here and I have always had great service from OCUK and this is just another great reason to continue using the site.

I'm really impressed with this. While the shipping charges to Northern Ireland were not excessive they were on the higher side of average and this normalisation (even on a trial basis) is awesome news. Especially if this extends to the Free Shipping offer for qualified forum members.

Well done, even just for listening and having a go at solving the problem.

While you're at it though, have a word with the DPD web team and get them to sort their tracking app - its awful! :-D

Out of interest does this mean you have agreed reduced rates with DPD or is OcUK putting a bit towards the delivery?

If you can't discuss this then no worries :) just interested as to how it works as I presume with free delivery OcUK foots the bill.
 
One thing I've noticed...

It says that you may qualify for free shipping, and the thread is about Rep. / N. Ireland, but the the T&C of the Free Shipping for Loyal OCUK members is only valid in mainland UK? Seems to contradict itself or is that just me mistaking something?

I will say, I hope you're getting the word out through an E-Mail campaign to those customers effected by this? Reason being as they may of course not read the forums. :cool:

Plus get it updated in the latest news section :)
 
Happy chappy now, the postage costs put a real downer on how I wanted to build my PC - bit by bit adding bits here and there when i had the money.

But I found myself just trying to save, hoping to order all at once so save on shipping. Looking at a absolute minimum of 10 orders worked out at over £140 which could have bought something else instead.

Free shipping at the moment is officially for UK Mainland customers, however if you are in N. Ireland ordering something small it may work, cannot guarantee it, it is a try and see if it works sort of thing. :)

We have sent emails out to people who live in those areas, and this thread is in the News section? Or am I missing something? :)
