Just some pics i took of my house wiring

Umm wow, well im no BT engineer but the wiring looks somewhat untidy, try a line test first and go from there, if needs be youll need an engineer.

Yep, but i didn't get a lot of help really, i emailed isp they didn't say a lot

thought id already had told you that looking at the those photos the line comes in upstairs at the main socket with the nte 2000 and goes downstairs to the other sockets

Yeh whats the best way to bypass all other wires so i can just plug in adsl straight to the incoming line?

you need to take some photos from outside so i can say where the line definatly comes in. but im almost sure it comes in upstairs and then goes down so the adsl filter should be doing its job and nothing needs disconnecting

Right this is what i think, the line comes in, goes to the black box, then goes to the bt box, then routes upstairs next to faceplate pc i think this is the master socket, and all other lines in the house are filtered off this.

CRC errros indicate a fault on your line

Only if they're service effecting (ie low throughput and/or packet loss). 9 times out of ten they're completely irrelevant.

7135 errored seconds in just over a day is roughly 8% of the time, and 52000 CRC errors in 344362844 cells is less than 0.02%. Unless you're seeing any kind of problem (and it's more likely that the cause of any problem isn't going to be the errors), ignore them.

Find the pair that comes into your house.

Most likely a white/orange or black/green

Get your NTE5 socket

Connect this pair directly to your NTE5, use the A & B connecters

Now plug your router directly into the master socket and test

Then start adding extensions and test as you go along

just wanted to know the nature of it being a *competitor*

all i can see if the doctor who leather jacket

ADSL installion kits like nte5 etc :P

Edit, it says it sells routers/modems

but infact when u click it, it doesnt

never less if you deem it a competitor so be it :)
