reducing image size

does anyone know what software i can use that will make my images smaller in terms of size, want to upload them to flickr but image quality is 2 mb a photo which is a bit much

I am on a mac

It's built into the OS.

Double click the image so it opens in Preview.

Click Tools

Click Adjust Size...

There you can choose the size you want and save the image.

If your uploading to flickr why would you not want the best image quality? :S

lots of photos im at my parents house with slow internet connection and cant be botherred to wait

It's easy for multiple images as well. Select them all with cmd-A, right click and select open with Preview.

Then in the resize dialogue, you can do them all at once, you could just select something like 'fit in 800x600' and it does it all for you. Preview is more than just a previewer.
