I'll repeat -
I was 49 with 27 years service
60+ years old got more than me with 12 years service

It was also ironic that I was the youngest in a department of 6 and I was made redundant first because it would be easier for me at 49 to get a new job.
I was the last one out of the 6 to get a job.
