Hi all,
Would realy appreciate some input on this, my Wife got a phone call from work today saying they are making 1 person redundant from her department, there are 10 employees in total and two part timers - my Wife and another who is due to go on maternity leave in a few weeks.
They have just employed a a person 3 weeks ago on a full time basis.
What kind of legal procedures do they have to fulfill if it is my Wife who gets made redundant? how much notice do they legally have to give her? what kind of paperwork should she receive etc?
Many thanks for any advice, I have a fair idea as I am a Manager myself but just want to make sure they do it all by the book if it does happen as they seem a little bit retarded and clueless, I wouldnt dream of ringing one of my staff up and tell them they may be losing their job next week.
Cheers in advance.
