Reference 7850 (External Exhaust)

Were there any available on release ? They all now seem to be the big, central fan based types. I typically prefer external exhaust ones because, well they dump it outside of the PC

I got the VTX3D 7850, no problems with cooling and noise, hell shroud even looks all AMD official etc, but then i came across some external exhaust models and just wondered if any were out in the wild, and if so what are they like noise wise ?

No, with such levels of card the reference design is not used. Of course some 3rd party versions might be rear exhausting.
