Anyone know if these exist. I've seen reviews with them and I love the stock NVIDIA cooler. Especially the glowing GTX logo and I want to set up an SLI with two but the only ones I can find have silly manufacturer coolers with gaudy plastic dragons and such.

£300 eh. I can live with that. The stock coolers are works of art :P the horrible plastic after-market things MSI/Gigabyte etc plonk on the cards is sacrilege.

When will they be in? :) is there any time frame? Ideally I would like to order all my parts together you see.

do the 980 style coolers cool more efficient than the aftermarket ones? or are we going to have to see benchmarks before we know?

I think the answer to that could be found in looking for benchmarks between reference 980s and the 980s with aftermarket coolers

titan coolers on 970's? nice. did not know this.

will wait it out then

Common misconception.

They're not Titan coolers, but Titan style. They lack the vapour chamber of the full blown Titan.

Well, at least the 980 coolers do. I'd be suprised if the 970 coolers were the full-fat jobbies.

GTX 980 Reference Heat pipe cooler...

At the moment it's a toss up between an SLI setup of the Gigabyte G1 970 or a reference design - whatever is here in three weeks and whatever is cheaper is the one I'll likely choose.

I've never "not" bought a top of the line gpu when upgrading, excepting an ATI X1950pro when I was clinging to an AGP system a while back. These 970's have changed my mind.
