Reference GTX 670 2Gb Fan speed question

Does MSI Afterburner read the fan speed correctly? Because it shows the fan RPM never goes higher than 1470RPM even when playing BF3? Can someone with a reference GTX 670 check for me please?

Don't know whether it helps you, but I use Evga Precision X and that displays the fan speed OK. Just ran a few minutes of Risen 2 and my fan speed went up to 2400RPM at 100% GPU usage.

hmm might try that. it is after all an EVGA card, albeit a reference version.

Thanks Kelt, that seemed to work much better and it read the fan RPM as over 2,000RPM. Anyone got any idea how fast a 100% fan profile should make the fan spin at?

When I had my 3x Club3D GTX 670 2GB reference cards they would usually hit around 2200-2400rpm when gaming whilst using the standard nvidia driver fans speed profilt. I think the max rpm is around 3300rpm... haven't tried manually setting the fan speed to 100%.
