A while back i was running 2x74gb raptors in a raid0 array, i started getting various errors such as, a drive in raid has failed. Then other times windows would boot fine. I took the two raptors out of my system and switched to a single drive, changing boot from raid to ide. Im considering moving the raptors to separate machines, but they still have an os and other data on them. Would i be best reinstalling them and reformatting them, as the raid array is still setup in the raid configuration setup in the bios. Thanks for any advice.

The only reason to attach them back to the RAID controller would be if the system you put them into either doesn't recognise the drive or refuses to format it. It's unlikely to happen so just cross that bridge if/when you get to it.

If you do have to reattach them you'll want to drop the drives from the array rather than just reformatting them as part of an array.
