Reformatting PS3

No matter what you do it'll take that long, all I did was cancel it when I saw that then just start it before you get in bed then when you wake up its done :)
 
only reason im having to do it is because for some reason i dont have the TV icon and ect showing up, the update must not have worked properly :S
 
You don't need to format the drive to get the TV icon to show up. I assume you're talking about BBC iPlayer etc? I had that problem before and all I did was load up Playstation Home, then when I went back to the XMB the TV icons appeared.
 
well i have reformatted it and its still not there :S,, will try what u said when i get back from shopping
 
well i have tried that, the TV icon is up, and i have love film and netflix but no iplayer :S ?

Have you clicked on the My Channels icon? It should open a folder with 4OD, BBC iPlayer and ITV Player inside it. :)

Unless you only have Netflix and Love Film but no My Channels icon? The only other thing I would try is to delete your profile by going all the way to the left hand side of the XMB and pressing triangle to delete and then re-create it. That might work.

well i created another profile to see if they would turn up there, and not even the TV icon this time, went back to my original account and everything has turned up, very strange but seems ok now, will have to see if its all still there when i turn it on tonight
