Refurbished IT Equipment

Yeah might only be 20 quid for a new 240gb ssd
But if you're doing any sort of volumes
That 20 quid will soon add up
So means you have to increase the price to the customer
Even £20 more on an item might be enough that
The customer buys elsewhere
And to be honest I wouldn't even buy something with
Only 240/250gb drive in it nowadays
Might be OK for a laptop I guess
But seeing its only 240gb kind of makes you think if
They didn't bother putting a decent size drive in it
Then the rest of its probably low spec too

For solid state drives including m2
Best thing I have found for secure wiping
Parted magic
It sends the secure sata erase command to the drive
Not just does some over writes
The good news is that's actually a lot faster than doing overwrites
I tried data recovery afterwards couldn't find anything
And it didn't care what manufacturer made the drive
Very useful not needing a specific manufacturers tool for each make of drive

Thanks for the recommendation.

Now to put an email together to reach out.

You're welcome
The free version of its still floating around on the Internet if you look hard enough
But the paid version isn't that expensive to be fair
You can also get disk verifier add on cheaply
Allows you to verify the disk has been erased to government standard I think
I still have a Samsung sm951
Samsung magician won't let you do anything at all with it
As its classed as an enterprise drive so no consumer support for it
I spent a lot of time trying to secure erase it
Not just do over writes on it
And parted magic was the result of everything I tried
Some others did secure erase 2.5 sata ssds but not from any manufacturer
But nothing else worked on that sm951 including a lot of Linux commands
