Regerts? I've had a few.

A regert sounds like some new way American teenage girls may describe being sick.

"I had, like, mad regerts last night"

I see this site has given it far more thought:

Regerts: The deep understanding that you are in some **** you should not be in.
Yeah, I've been there a couple of times, but as long as I came out alive and not in jail then it's all a life lesson..

Also love that this is real:

Parents getting divorced as a teenager. Messed me up, went off the rails a bit and messed up GCSE's. Wish i had done better at school. Later in life i did redo my GCSE's just to prove to myself i am not a dingbat, which set me up to take on a degree where i got a First.

Not standing up to bullies at school. Was 2nd tallest all through school, so prime bully meat! Seeing how i was treated and how ****** up the system was to combat bullying set me on the path to join law enforcement.

When i joined the military i was offered a posting (almost) anywhere in the world, ended up doing a career in RAF Lincolnshire when i should have gone overseas.

However, the path this has led me down is not a bad one, so maybe it was meant to be - things could have turned out much worse :)

if you had no regrets you probably wouldn't have grown as a person.
IMO it's entirely normal.

Worse is the people who have mid life crisis around 30-40 because they think they missed out on clubbing etc and they'd be better off single

I stopped going clubbing when Greenpeace and the IFAW gave it loads of negative publicity.

I'll regret getting past this bit

Non, je ne regrette rien
but
On days like these I wonder what became of you
Maybe today you are singing songs with someone new .. you took the Miura too.

I have allowed too many women to have a chance to say their piece and give their side of the story, and have replied within their framing of the situation.

I’ve now learnt to listen to someone, and then walk away without engaging in any negativity. It’s much healthier and drives them absolutely bonkers.
