Nope marketing has nothing to do with it.

Levi Roots created a BRAND within minutes of being on that show and thats what your buying not whats in the bottle. I saw the program and was very disappointed that he sold himself so low to the dragons.

Nevermind all due respect to him and I hope he can capitalize on his early success.

Maybe release an album to solidify his brand ? lol I have already seen forum threads requesting links to the reggae reggae ringtone lol

The guy with the clothes line with the cover came to our school to show it before he was on Dragon's Den :p
Don't think it was the guy off this forum though.
 
I was parusing the bacon selection in Sainsbury's today when a Big Fat Man came along, forcing me to step to the right....and what did I bash into? Nothing but a reggae reggae sauce stand :D

It's very nice :)

He didn't sell himself low, all he did was take a different approach - and it worked. The product wouldn't have got anywhere if it was substandard. Can't fault him at all tbh.

Oh my god how pedantic is that?? You should assume that when I say "marketing" in THIS instance I mean everything, including his sales pitch and brand. I think it's fair to include his "branding" as the sauce's "marketing"....

I got some today and had it with my sausage buttie at lunch and my roast chicken at dinner, its so nice! really nice fresh taste with a little kick

Only thing is that it's got no preservatives in so you have to eat it within 5 days.

I'm going to bring out my own - Reggae Reggae Reggae Sauce, so good I named it thrice!

I think it will last a lot longer then 5 days with chilli content of that sauce I've had mine well over 5 days and it still tastes awesome :)
