Looking for a region free Blu Ray player although I have no idea if these are actually like, legit (probably a dumb question but never bothered buying anything separate as it usually came with the TV or use PS3.

Anyone know if this is any good? Ideally wanting a Sharp due to pairing with the TV remote.

Also is the PS3 blu ray region free?

Cheers

Do you want region free on the DVD side?, or Blu-ray side also? as the former is relatively easy, but the latter can be expensive!!

Plus most Blu-ray discs are Region Free rather than locked to A, B or C, unlike DVD's that had 6 standard Regions plus 4 'special' regions and Region '0' (which is like Region Free as it plays on any play anywhere!!).

Looking at the linked player, it looks like it IS region Free on both DVD and Blu-ray... albeit badly written!!
SHARP BD-HP35U 3D Wi-Fi CODEFREE Blu-Ray Disc Player MultiZone Region Code Free DVD 012345678 PAL/NTSC Blu Ray Zone A/B/C. DivX XviD AVI and MKV Playback and Support.

BLU RAY A+B+C Multi Zone Region Code Free Blu Ray Player DVD Region 123456 PAL/NTSC

I'd be a little wary!, contact the seller just to confirm!!

Got mine (Sony Blu-ray) from Multiregionmagic (in Peterborough, but they do sell online!!) had the option of DVD only or DVD and Blu-ray being multiregion!, i went for DVD only, as 50% of my DVD's are region 1 or 3, the rest are Region 2, but 100% of my Blu-ray's are Region Free! :)

Cheers.

Only DVDs/Blu Rays I've checked out have said certain regions on amazon. (NFL DVDs/Blurays + Breaking Bad Blu Ray) So ideally both.

I'm guessing if a blu ray for example this is going to require a region free player?

I'll contact the seller just incase as well, cheers :)

I've two Panasonic multi-region BD Players (which are multi-region on both BD and DVD), both from the retailer mentioned by Simian, which I'm quite happy with.

And I do have a lot of DVDs and BDs which are region locked to other regions.
