So i have a HP Laptop that i want to upgrade to a SSD. Very simple & do a Clean install.
I extracted the product key using from Windows 8.1, no problem.
1. I did not want to use the HP recovery Media
(That was not provided anyway, you have to make yourself - apparently does not work with SSD's anyway?)
2. So used Upgrade Windows with A product key
(http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows-8/upgrade-product-key-only)
for Windows 8 & windows 8.1 it does not accept this as a valid license. i assume as it knows its a OEM license?
3. i have a windows 8 Pro CD, Can i use that to install normal Windows 8? with this license?
4. i do not want to buy a 256GB/512GB ssd that it wont accept due to licensing issues
