At last im getting somwhere with this lappy now. Screen is working fine with the new lcd inverter. Trouble is its pig slow on vista. How do i go back to XP (its original os) and not loose the required drivers especially to the wireless networking card?
When i was first given it last week i re format using xp disc but couldnt get online because of missing drivers. Decided to try upgrade to vista which now works fine but is so slow. Ive already doubled the ram to 1gb but think it would perform much better going back to XP. I dont have the original dell discs.
Is there a way to go back to xp without a re format?
I know there are probably all the dell drivers on their web site but its easier said than done to find exactly what you need. Just in case its relevant, its a Dell Precision M60.
