Now I know its been like this for years and probably people have moaned or an explanation... but im pretty annoyed tbh.

Why do the rest of the world get their games today, yet I have to wait to Friday to get mine?

This include digital distribution which because im in the UK is racist against me and prevents me getting the game when its actually released...whether I have paid pre-ordered or not.

Now, I look around on the net... get wound up obviously that people are playing the game legit... even more so that its out there on the dodge' being played.

So im being punished by an industry that cannot plan how to wipe its own ****.

In a mood I phone up a computer game retailer, say look you obviously have it out back, its released worldwide, I can get it illegally now if I want... do you want my cash for me to buy it now, or cant you do it. The answer, No we cant sell it.

Cant be bothered anymore.

Racist against you? Ok theres a rant and theres verbal diarrhea...

Europe typically released games on Fridays, US typically released them on Tuesdays. Why? How the hell should we know, they just did and always have. Why do Digital Distributors still release on Tuesday/Friday when it makes near enough no difference to them? Because retailers would whine about it if they had to wait 3 days since it would lose them sales.

Just be thankful you don't live in Australia where they are even more 'racist'

In the US games are released on a Tuesday as thats the day everything gets released. Charts are complied on a Monday so releasing DVD's, CD's and games on a Tuesday gives it a full week in the shops before the next chart.

In the Uk the sales charts are compiled on Sundays, so releasing on a friday makes no sense at all when DVD's and CD's come out on a monday

oh nooes thay can play the game before me :D

maybe you should move to the USA then, they might be less racist there :o

A game being released a few days later than somewhere else in the world is not an excuse for piracy.

I find this very annoying when it comes to TV shows and Films, for example Mad Men season 4 still hasn't started over here yet it is nearly finished in the states. With movies it's not so bad anymore but there are still examples like last year's "Up" which was nearly out on DVD in the states by the time it was released over here (though I think it had something to do with them waiting for Cannes).

But its been released in Australia, thats what winds me up.

I am just wondering what was going though the head of the person who answered your angry phonecall...

"I want my game now!"

"Sorry, no can do!"

"I have money. Gimmie game!"

"Nope!"

This annoyed me with Civ V, I have the disk, I own the disk but I can't play the game!

...and now it's turned out a bit poo compared to Civ IV I can't even sell the damn thing. Silly DRM :(.

Then I realised that I have more important things to be concerned about that waiting a couple of days for a game to activate.

Regardless of how stupid this topic is, can you explain how its "racist" against you?

Game piracy is 1 thing but i don't really know if anyone gives 2 craps about pirating things shown on tv that take forever to come out over here. Currently downloading the first 2 episodes of season 6 Supernatural and Season 3 True Blood, neither of which will be shown or released in the UK any time soon.

Why don't you get off your arse and do something else with your life until the game is released? How can it possibly bother you this much?

:-/

It should annoy everyone really as why should the UK be different, we probably pay more for the game as well in all honesty.

Ive also had a very busy day, gave blood this morning, had a cup of tea and a biscuit.. the ladies said take it easy, luckily im off. Cant play my game though can I!
