Reliable, fast KVM switch

Hi,

I've been checking out some KVM switches, anything up to £50 would be cool.

I've found some 2 port and 4 port ones for that price.

I just wondered if they'd be nice and reliable and fast etc? I don't want the mouse/keyboard/screen to be all dodgy due to the switch.

Can someone recommend me one please?

Avocent make decent KVMs. Look at Startech also.

I'm a bit worried about the screen being plugged in to the KVM rather than the graphic card. Will they effect the image quality or anything?
