Hi all, not sure what to think of this as I have tried all the usual routes, I sent my nexus 7 I'm for speaker repair, factory reset and came back, putting everything back on, I have apps, updated, can browse just about, keep getting page timeouts in chome, Firefox is not the best on here, sometimes i can't edit ocuk forum posts, I can't get to certain https sites.iv cleared all cache, reinstalled, tried two different browsers, iv downloaded a ping/DNS app appears to be OK, around the normal ping times, but I keep getting connection reset.

Sorry if you need more details but I'll type this up properly tomorrow as it's anmoying me

Never ever had an issue with the nexus, its been brilliant before the repair, I can't reinstall or clear anything that if already done

If I try to load google search in chrome, I get to the first page which works fine, try to search for something, times out,

Again with youtube, go to youtube, gets to the homepage, try to login, again times out.

Id suggest you update with the latest factory images from google directly and come back if it persists

It is on the latest version of android OS, I will try another factory reset and see how things go.

When you say latest from google? How do you mean? Any image updates have only ever been done from the device itself.

There is no third party images, android 4.4.4

Still the same, reset to factory default, latest android is, updated, connection timeouts on certain sites!

Thing stinks of a software problem but nothing is resolving it, can do most things fine but for instance logging in to youtube, spazzes out connection reset in chorme and Firefox, try to go to Google, get to the search page, fine, search for something, doesn't want to know

Before I do this, why would this be the issue? it had the image on before I sent it away, it was only reset, and is having these issues.

The image I am putting on is essentially the same that was on there, only thing it will be is a flash.

U may have a corrupt rom installed on your device is all and all your doing is re installing the same corrupt data.

Doing it by images as linked to there clean and should work fine

OK, will try and follow correctly, although I am tied with time constraints at the moment, is this relitvly risk free in terms of potential to corrupt the flash procedure and brick the device?
