Remaking Judge Dredd?

I think dredd was okay! Maybe a sequel but the original surely doesn't need remaking?

I thought the original film was average, but could have been better.
Did you know that the director was Danny Cannon and he was from Luton?
He later went on and started the first CSI series

Why a sequel? That would tie you in to needing Stallone AND making it cheesy like the original.

The whole point of this is going in a new direction with it. I wouldn't even call it a remake really, it's more just a new film based on the same source material.

Stallone was a terrible Judge Dredd.

The first movie would have worked much better as an independent sci-fi without any connection to Dredd. (And without Stallone of course).

There's no way in hell that Karl Urban will keep the helmet on.... surely they would have hired a no-name actor if that was the case?!
