I was browsing, and I found this random screenshot online... Ahh, good times. :D

This was back when Steam was only for VALVe games. I'll be honest, I do miss the bonafide simplicity of this old school version. :cool:
 
Holy ****, yes I do. Back when it took forever to "decrypt" HL2 and used massive amounts of CPU in the process.

Speaking of skins, what Steam skins do people use/recommend these days? I used to have a few nice ones but they weren't updated when Steam underwent its most recent UI update.

You mean back when we all had single core processors and no ram so we cared more about steams usage :p

Bit of nostalgia though as now its pretty much the most essential thing on the pc!
 
I remember back in 2002 when the beta first launched and you could only download cs.

Hard to believe its been 10 years of steam almost. But mind you it didnt really get going till 2006/7

Yes, it has kind of exploded over the last few years. I remember cursing steam when I was trying to unlock HL2 on release, but I pretty much worship it these days. Amazing games pretty much given away.
