...OcUK used to look like this?

Taken from year 2000.

I remember a theme before this one, and I think prices were about equal (or worked out the same after I paid for everything as i didnt want two seperate orders) and went for the other as i didnt like the amateur look of OVuk

Some of us remember the ZX-81 16k RAM pack as being the ultimate upgrade, P3's and Socket 7's seem like yesterday :o

they could easily keep the same idea, of the union jack. just lose the drop shadow, the blurry/fuzzy gradients gradients.
Maybe even pay a typologist (i think i made up that word) to even just design a unique OVuk font, some companies that do this don't get the entire alphabet done, just the letters they need.

Yep I remember that site, and buying one of these "AMD Athlon Thunderbird 850 (Socket A) Guaranteed to 1GHz+"
That was the first PC I built myself, as an upgrade from a AMD K6/2 333Mhz that I had running at 400MHz...I think!

I never trusted OcUK back then, didn't think the design was corporate enough to be genuine.

They're still using Actinic (e-commerce type CMS) now though I think.
