Remote Access using iPhone

Yer its quite good when its up and running, once last year I was at work for the day and had given my sister permission to use my mac mini to check her emails etc for the day. I decided to log on from work just to bug her, she couldnt work out what was going wrong, i typed a message to her in textedit while she was sat there it was quite humorous.

Is that something similar to netsend?

Will the iPhone wakeup the PC over the LAN?

Yes it's possible but you need to have a network card that supports WOL (Wake On Lan) and have WOL enabled, then a program like iWOL (search on the app store) to send a magic packet to tell your PC to wake up. Your PC must be in sleep/hibernation for it to work, switch on from cold boot won't work, once your PC has woken up use iRdesktop to login.

I have several machines in different locations set up on iWOL which aren't in sleep mode, they are completely shut down, and I wake them up over the internet no problem from cold boot.

I have turned on LAN rom on my motherboard and I gave it a quick go but my PC didn't boot. I will have another bash tomorrow

Well it looks like I wont be able to Wake my PC up as the Netgear DG834N router I have does not have WOL capability, shame.......

has anyone used this logmein ignition for the iphone? it's 17 quid but my mate whos works in it says its really good on computers, so wondering if there's any experience with the iphone app?
