Just wondering if anyone know any web base remote admin software, that doesnt need any port forwarding as it works on the http port.
Example friend needs help you send him a file he clicks on it or you give your mate a web address he logs on and a file gets sent to him, he runs the file and now you can take control of his pc via a web page however you dont need to open any ports on the router or enable rdp on his pc.

VNC has a Java based applet.

yes but the person still needs to open up the port, iam looking for something that the user dosent need to touch his pc or router, example
1) go to this page down load this
2)run
3)install
4) accept
5) admin takes control.
simple as that.

Try UltraVNC SC.

Not tried it myself, but it seems to do what you want

Basically it's the same concept as UltraVNC, but the PC that is to be controlled initiates the connection, hence no NAT configuration needed at that end, although you do need to set up forwarding on your end (but i'm sure you can do that ;))

A vote for VNC here great software and easy to use.

Could also try Bulletproof thie is a very good simple p2p file share. You put in a password and set up a user name and give that to your friend along with your IP address and he can give you access to any files he wants on his Pc.

Try EchoVNC from echogent - basically uses a proxy to connect the two machines, so no need of opening ports. EchoWinVNC is what you want for the client (sorry - they have just renamed it to instantVNC)

This is one of the easiest and complete packages I have used

If you want to host a server yourself (best way) it will only cost you a one-off payment of $20 (plus your bandwidth for the connection whilst working on their machine)

use hamachi (free vpn software), works like a simple messenger program, that creates a virtual network with the 'friends' on it

ie i have my home network called "bleddsnetwork", i have a password set for it, if i go to someone else's house, i just install hamachi, join my network using name + pass, then i can use it like a normal network (windows file sharing works etc)

i use remote desktop, but you could have vnc installed

hamachi is good for me beucase my housemates are noobs and they reset the router if the internet is going slow, hamachi works around the router, so no port forwarding or static ip needed

excellent software
