hi I know it's a stupid question but what cars can open/close the windows with the key fob, I know the following can

ford
vw
Audi

are there any more, we are getting a new vehicle soon on motability and was wondering if that did, it's a converted Citroen berlingo multispace

Give them a ring and ask, im not sure if they do or not.

I'm pretty sure most cars <10 years old will have this.

Any chance you could pop down to a dealer and scope one out?

You only ever use it when showing mates you can wind the windows down off the key.
I use it quite often when putting a parking receipt on the dash, rather than opening the door and leaning around.

I've used it in the past on a hot summers day, sat outside in the beer garden and wound the windows down via the key 10 mins before we got in.

Total closure is usuful when you have kids who leave the windows open. I use the feature quite often because of this.

As said, BMW do it.

annoyingly, it doesnt actually close the only window you're ever likely to miss - the pop-out rears on coupes

opens them though....

Isn't it moreless a given that any new car these days does it? Heck I'm struggling to remember what the first car we had that did it was!

Off my head our 2008 BMW does, our 2005 Saab did, our 2002 Audi did, etc.....

my cousin had a 1990 cavalier (in about 1994, when it was still worth owning) and that had it.

I'd put money that the cars before those I listed did it too! Problem is that as I was only 8 in 1998 I didn't give a **** whether the car did it or not.

But yeah, I'd say that 99% of new cars today would :).

I hate the feature! Twice now I have got up in the morning to find my windows down on the S3 because I've inadvertantly leant on the key fob in my pocket at some point during the previous evening.

I've not found a practical use for it yet; I tried opening my windows last summer from the office to keep the car cool, but the alarm stays armed so as soon as there's any noise or a gust of wind the alarm goes off. You can't disarm the alarm either as if you don't open the door for 30 secs after disarming it automatically re-arms.
