Howdy

Having switched from an iPhone to a SGS2, the only app I've yet to replace is HippoRemote. I used it primarily to control XBMC, but it had a plethora of pre-defined remotes. The best thing about it though, was that it connected using VNC, rather than having to use a server app running on the PC.

Is there a remote-control app for Android that connects via VNC?

I'll look into it, but it uses a proprietary client rather than VNC

Teamviewer is a remote desktop server/client, not what I'm looking for

Unified remote was the best I found, use it for my xbmc, foobar2000 etc

Edit: sorry, didn't read the vnc part :0 why is this necessary by the way?

I use Unified too, which is excellent. But, again, it has an install on the PC.
