Hi.
Is there a way i can remote control my Windows XP machine from my Ubuntu Laptop?
I know that XP has built in remote access programs, but im unsure on how to get them working.

My primary aim is so that i can remotely access iTune and skip/change tracks from my laptop.

Thanks in advance all. :)

Ive DLed rdesktop & TSClient.
After some messing with TS Client, ive gotten half way there, it'll start to open a window to display the remote control in, then it'll close it almost strait after.

This isnt gonna be the same sort of control that you can do with windows servers is it? As i dont want to be a second logon, i want to control the logon thats currently logged on.

Check out Ultra/Tight/Real VNC.

Its available in all flavours for all platforms (well Ultra is Windows-only afaik, but works as a good server)

I think most Linux have built-in VNC server and client software nowadays (it is certainly readily-available)

Well this TSClient program ive got running at the moment on Ubuntu supports VNC connections from what i can see.

Im gonna try this TightVLC now...

Cool.
Ive got TightVLC running on my windows PC, and this TS Client program ive already got on Ubuntu works with it fine.
The only problems im having are that i can make the viewer window in Ubuntu the entire width of the screen for some reason.
And i can only see screen 1 of my main PC, not both screens.

Ideas?
