I use Remote desktop connection on vista to connect upto my server (remotely) but when it connects up it wont show Azereuz bit torrent client.

Its defenatly running as i have logged onto the machine locally, but when i use RDC it does not show the programme as running, therefore you cannot see or interact with Azereuz?

Why is this?

are you logging in as the same user?

does it show under task manager? -whats the username it shows for it

Logged in as the administrator, yes java is installed on both local and remote machine as i can use the client when logged on locally on both machines, it just dissapears when i try to use the client over remote desktop connection.

No the client does not appear in task manager remotely.

Iv tried using another remote admin programme (Symantec PC Anywhere) which works fine, i can log on and use Azereuz fine.

show tasks for all users under processes tab?

do you log in as 'administrator' when you log in locally? or is it an administrator

Yes i log in as "Administrator" and ill have to check processes when i am at home

maybe you can't use java apps over RD, but thats strange if you can't..

does it kill az? (when you log in locally again is it there?)

Try starting Remote Desktop using 'mstsc /console' from the Run box.

This guy is right. I had the same problem when I was using torrent on a 2003 server over RDP.
When you log in (even as administrator) is just starts you up with a fresh session. So I use the run command + /console to connect to the first/main session. Hence if you don't use this /console parameter when you use taskmanager and click on users, you will see two administrators using the system.

just to confirm, azureus works fine using rdp
Same here. I have it running on 2003 server. I have never logged in repotely first (as machine has no monitor/keyb/mouse). try restarting and then only log in via RDP and see if that works...
