This is what i want to do.
I want to use my computer to do my work and allow another user to connect to my computer and log on to another account and do everything as he could if he was logging on locally.

Two users logging on at the same time.

is this possible?

As far as i am aware XP will not allow more than one concurrent logon.

What are you looking to do remotely? Most administrive tasks can be achieved by publishing various services to the web - enabling the telnet service is quite useful for remote administration.

I've got Remote Desktop working at home, with my laptop set up to remotely access my PC upstairs. I've set up a password on the upstairs PC and used TweakUI to autologon the account as I don't need a password on it except for RD.

This works really well, but I want to access the PC at home from work on the same laptop. I tried to connect but it says it cannot accept anymore connections. I've setup DUC and a No-IP address, but to no avail. Any suggestions?

Is the PC at home logged on when you try to connect from work. The error suggests you are trying to logon a second account to the same PC which is not allowed.

It is logged on yes, but when I log on at home with the laptop it logs the upstairs machine off. Should I try logging the upstairs PC off and then log on via the No-IP address rather than the local computer name/IP.

bit of a noob question
the fix for concurrent rdp sessions - do you run it on the pc you are using, on the pc that will be hopefully having a couple of people connecting to it at the same time via remote desktop, or both?

Hamachi Works perfect for me on all my zombie computers scattered across Essex.

forward the 3389 port to the ip of the one upstaris

go to whatismyip.org

in work type mstsc, theIp, press enter

-providing your work doesn't stop outgoing connections it should work fine..

I know the IP of my home machine, and I've also got a No-IP address tied to this IP: but I can't connect either by the IP or by the No-IP address.

How would I forward port 3389?
