Remote for Samsung LE26R7 not working correctly.

Not sure if anyone else has ever had this problem but in the last month or so my remote for my TV isn't working correctly.
Basically all the numbered buttons work, as do the channel and volume + and - buttons.
However the power button doesnt work and neither do the digital tv guide or info buttons.

I've tried replacing the batteries several times to no avail.

If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this I will be extremely greatful.

I had a Samsung R88 which wouldn't work with the remote control at all. So it went back to the shop and I got a Sony.

Anyhow, try this - take the batteries out and hold down the power button on the remote for 30 seconds. Then put the batteries back in and see if it cures the problem.

Didn't work

It has worked fine since I've had it, its just gone wrong in the past month.
It seems like certain rows of buttons dont work.
