Remote reset and power switch

Hello,
I am looking to put my PC in a position that i cannot easily get to the power and reset switches. I was thinking of making up a simple box with a couple of switches on it and running cable to the MB pins.

Am i right in thinking that the reset and power switch simply connects the 2 pins whilst the switch is pressed?

Do you see any issues with this cable being about a meter long?

You can get extender cables for these kinda things. I can't see a problem with it being that long, give it a go and see how you get on.

Thanks, like you say i think the length will be ok, but still not sure if the power and reset switches are simply push to make contact switches.

What you can do is just get the power and reset switches from an old case, then just cut the wire in half and get some extra wire to extend it, get some insulation tape to cover the wire and you should be good to go
