I am getting one for my 350D. What is best? With or without cable?

Because with photography its all about capturing the moment and you could miss it by slow response times over wireless, interference.

I would always go wired.

and the main advantage, no danger of the batteries failing in the wired remote!

You mean fractions of a milisecond? Its much more likely the users reactions being too slow then the remote shutter. One bonus about wireless shutters is you can use them as a torch (Mine includes an LED light)

I put my wireless remote shutter release in my pocket when I'm moving things around for example when composing a photo. With a wired remote, do you just have to let it dangle there?

I went for with. The wireless one couldn't do burst shots nor focusing.

Good choice.

I had a wireless one for a film Slr and forgot it most of the time coz i left it in jean pockets etc.

You want something that will support locking for bulb mode.

No. Mines all black with an LED light built in. They are also washing machine proof.

Yup. I lost it for ages and thought id dropped it while out on a shoot somewhere. In the end it had been stuck in the washing machine for quite some time (5-6 weeks?) so it must have gone through quite a few cycles.

I took it out in its new found shinyness and it worked as good as new. While it was lost I bought another one, so I now have 2. I might attach one to my tripod for easy access.

The wireless one for a 350D is only £14.
