Remote Start your Pc?

for only $17 usd, + shipping, as soon as I get paid in 2 weeks I'll get one. I'm thinking about it because I always forget to shut it off and it draws a lot of electricity. Having a remote means when I get in my car and remember that I forgot to turn it off I can just hit the button on the remote. Should save me money over time really so a worthy investment.

surely if the pc is off then it wont be connected to the network though? or does it have to be in sleep mode with the setting "allow windows to turn off this device = no" on the wireless?

when i said set up a thing with a phone i didnt mean with your normal phone, get an old mobile or something, i dont know why im thinking of this anyway, must have seen it in some film.

It definately works with wired, I can't see it being likely to work over wireless though I may be completely wrong there.

I can certainly turn machines on over LAN, and I'm sure I could do it from outside the network if necessary
