With yet another lockdown, I was wondering what are people using to support personal devices?

Team viewer? Something else?

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnd does it change peoples responses if this was for a business? i.e, a team of technicians.

It's now like Teamviewer by the looks of things;

Try out AnyDesk for free, without having to provide any personal information. AnyDesk is also free of charge for personal use.

Yeah, sadly this will be for work purposes

Ideally I want to provide a link and they goto it and run the exe, that's it, no literal installing.

The Microsoft connection tool is fine until someone doesn't have it

To be fair team viewer isn't free for businesses either.

Correct, hence why were not using it.

My issue is I'd rather avoid a client, as we have SCCM bit this is purely because of COVID and people using their own kit.

Any reason why this was ignored?

I believe I responded somewhere....yeah it works great, but only if the user has it installed already

Teams works also, but crap if you need to install something with elevated permissions

It looks like it's built in. I never installed it so must have been through an update of some sort.

It is but not every OS has it, or it's been stripped at some point historically. No idea if it's in Windows 7 either
