Remove items from add/remove programs list

Sometimes trying to remove them again will make Windows realise they have been removed and prompt you for permission to remove the entries. Where they don't do this, you could download CCleaner which has an Add/Remove panel feature. You can remove listings from there.

Yeah for some reason Windows get its knickers in a twist. I don't know if Windows is meant to realise the program has been removed and to edit the list accordingly or if the uninstaller is meant to pass some info to Windows to tell it what to remove. So it could actually be poorly written uninstallers?

Yeah maybe your right, it was Call of Duty 2 and Micro Machines v4 for what its worth, but they are gone now cheers, nice little program that, cleaned up a load of crap for me too, cheers :D

Back up the registry first if you don't know what you're doing but you can manually edit the list in this registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

Naturally don't take anything out unless you know what it is :)
