Hi,

Should you remove the camera lens when storing camera after use or should you leave lens on?

Any advice would be great.

I have the camera placed in the bag, with lens facing up and lcd screen on botton of bag. Is this okay?

Thanks

I'd say you increase the risk of getting dirt inside the camera if you keep removing the lens. I just have one lens and I leave it on all the time.

You should probably keep your kit lens on always so you're always ready to grab a snapshot.

If you remove your lens all the time, it just makes it harder to get fast shots, when getting your camera out. Always store your camera with your most used lens attached, with the camera set to the settings your normally would use the most.

The way you've stored it is fine :)

What camera/lens did you go for in the end? If you're worried about the LCD getting scratched, you can buy a snap on protector for cheap (if its a Nikon), or something to stick on if its a Canon camera.

Hi - I went for ther D40 in the end. Got the 18-55 lens & 55- 200 lens.

Where can I get these snap on protector screens for the nikon?

Thanks for all the posts.

Robert
