Remove lock screen music controls on Android?

Normally if I want to "wake" the phone instantly I use a SwitchPro widget to toggle the pattern lock (whilst the phone is awake), which bypasses the pattern lock screen next time I press the power button. This works well, and is very useful in the car as I can instantly read messages/missed calls etc.

The problem is that when the stock music app is running, it re-enables the pattern lock, overriding the pattern lock OFF status I toggled using the SwitchPro widget. I think it's because of the music controls widget. It is annoying because if I have music playing, there is seemingly no quick way of disabling the pattern lock.

Has anyone found a workaround to this problem?

Right, tried it and I get the same problem

Can anyone test it for me?

If so, use a widget to toggle the lock screen security > play a song in a music player > make the phone sleep > wake the phone

Does it go straight to the music player or come up with a lock screen (with music controls if you've enabled them)?
