Remove XP login screen

Hi, there is only 1 user on my PC so is there any way I can remove the screen asking me to click which user to logon with everytime I startup the PC?

The best way tbh, is to use power toys to make the pc autologin, then put a lock command in startup, so the pc automatically logs on, then locks itself when you turn it on.

the best way is. Start -> run -> control userpasswords2

you'll still have to put in a password though. It depends on how secure you want console access to the pc to be.

Unless you use autologon you will, as things such as the ASPNET account will mean that it will ask for a password.

There is no password on the account and security is not an issue.

I'd agree with this way over the control userpasswords2 command. How do you put a lock command in the startup if you don't mind me asking?

I try to run PowerToys and it says it has been disabled by my Administrator?

Tweak UI even (Its a powertoy, but oops ).

You may be getting the login screen because NET framework 1.1 has been installed on your PC via windowsupdates.

Go back to windows updates and install the service pack for .NET 1.1.

That will sort things out.

just delete the user accout that .NET puts in there, and leave the guest and the admin/main user acct tho
