We live in a conservation area and wish to remove a redundant chimney stack whilst having some roof work done. I'm just wondering if anyone has been through the process for this and what documents were needed to support the planning application?

I emailed local planning office, and they've responded to say it doesn’t need planning permission which is good news. I explained what would be done etc and a couple of questions from them, but I have it in writing that it's not needed in my instance

This chimney has only ever been for fumes from an old gas boiler, so hopefully slight less messy but I guess we will find out. I'm trying to find out from building control if calculations from a structural engineer are required for the roof down.
