We live in a conservation area and wish to remove a redundant chimney stack whilst having some roof work done. I'm just wondering if anyone has been through the process for this and what documents were needed to support the planning application?
Same. We had the rear one removed in the loft for more space. Left the chimney breasts in on the first and ground floors though as we'll be putting in a fireplace surround in the study and a nice alcove in the dining room. We're not in a conservation area but to my mind it was just the architects drawings supplied to the council planning etc. and signed off.I had one removed to the loft but couldn't go any further as it was structural for the rest of the stack.
