Removing a HDD from an external

Quick check really..

I have an 1tb Seagate external, Can I just open it up and plug and play it into my Main rig?

Probably. Most external drives are just normal SATA disks in a caddy however WD did (and possibly still do) make some where the USB stuff was integrated directly onto the HDD PCB.
