Just got BE internet in our new place. We have one phone line coming into the house which goes into the bedroom as the master socket and one extension running off it which goes into the kitchen.
Now, as neither of us bother using the landline ever (we both have work mobiles) I was thinking of disconnecting the extension that runs to the kitchen. Logic being that when I connect my BE box to the test socket on the master socket, I connect at 9 meg. If I go through the regular socket I connect at 6,5 meg.
Will removing the extension provide a speed increase? Bearing in mind, it has no phone connected to it.
And if it does, how do I do it?!!!?!
Thanks for any advice
