Hi All, would appreciate any help on this one.
I've got a load of files that have chinese characters in the filenames, and they are giving me grief backing up.
Does anyone know of a suitable utility or way of replacing these characters to be batch replaced with an underscore (or similar)?
I've fount a utility called rename_files which will replace "special characters", but this includes dashes meaning it renames more files than I want it to.
Thx in advance

Thanks very much for the suggestion - it's one I found when I was searching but couldn't see how to get it to do what I wanted. The one I normally use is Bulk File Rename, which is worth a look if you ever find ReNamer can't do something you want.
I've managed to manually replace the characters causing grief now, but if anyone has suggestions for next time...?
