Removing Hyperlink styling from CSS links?

Pretty simple question.. probably a simple answer too..

I created a CSS styled menu avec rollovers..

I then added hrefs to these and now they are styled as hyperlinks..
How do I remove the styling?

I've tried editing the "text-decoration:" value but it makes no difference

I did a quick search on google, dogpile, yahoo and here.. with no luck.

use the a:hover, a:visted, a:link and a:active pseudo classes.
