¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I've got some permanent marker on my bonnet (don't ask), :o and I was wondering if there was a way of getting it off without ruining the paintwork?

Would white spirit or something similar work? It's metallic with clearcoat if that makes any difference. :)

Not quite. :D

I thought it was a dry-wipe marker, so I did a few doodles on the bonnet over the weekend. I only realized it was permanent until afterwards. :o

Anyway, I used loads on Lynx and a tissue, and it worked a treat! :) I think the alcohol in the lynx must break it down.

I just went for the thing that looked the least aggressive... I don't think deodorant would be very harmful to paint as you spray it on yourself anyhow. :)

It's my car, so if I make it any worse, it's no one's fault but my own. :)

You couldn't have made that paintwork much worse even if you had tried to brillo pad the permanent ink off! :p
Lol, it's a 23 year old bonnet, so it's seen a fair few miles! It's a spare one, which I've got on there while I repaint my normal bonnet. I didn't really want to drive round with "MikeHunt79" and various obscenities and my bonnet thank you! :D
