Removing Scratches ?

Yeah scratch x mate, all sell at retial im sure. So even if you go to halfrauds should be the same price. Could use scratch x thn a polish if your wanting a REALLY high shine.

I've ordered some Scratch x so should be able to give it a good clean up over the weekend.

Here is a picture of the only deep scratch.

Is automotive filler the only option?

Very nice rescue mate :)

I remeber I nearly bought one of these a while ago, but passed up on it as it had been seriously cut to ribbons because the previous owner had put a water cooling setup in it, the hdd cage had been hacked away, it was in real state.

Is it through the paint? if not just Tcut it, if you use filler you will then have to paint it!
Where do you have your computer? i have mine against the drawers of my desk, if you do the same just swap the sides over if they are the same, no more scratch :D

AFAIK, it won't be painted. Its most likely anodised aluminium, which makes it somewhat harder to repair.

The 201-SX1s are painted with car paint, as already said the problem with filler is matching the colour after! There are several layers of paint, with an under/basecoat of white making it quite hard to damage the alu.

I'd just leave it as is i think you may endup doing more damage to it

If it were just anodised like praetorian you could send it off to be anodised again, as most scratches wouldn't go below the anodised surface to the alu.
